Visual Aspects of War Music Videos: A Review of Professional and Amateur Works
DOI:
The article is the first attempt in domestic scientific opinion to analyze the forms of realization of popular music videos about the war by Ukrainian solo artists and bands on the screen from the standpoint of visual aspects of filming and editing. The works specified in the study are among the most popular among others in the music segment on YouTube video hosting. Which is confirmed by the specified number of views. For ease of analysis, music videos were presented in the categories of professional, amateur and combined works.
It was established: among the basic features of video sequence implementation is the alternation of frames by size, shooting point, and color. If professional video clips are dominated by staged scenes, additional use of graphics, editing of color solutions, then in amateur videos there is a documentary video without indicating the original source with massive use of footage of explosions and projectile launches towards the occupiers. A common aspect is the use of the storytelling technique: even in the absence of a variety of shots, the ability to specifically (additionally) shoot certain storylines, the screen illustration thematically complements the words in the songs. The change of frames occurs in accordance with the change of the musical rhythm.
The authors structured the conclusions, assumed that the musical content itself, even with the use of words not standardized in the literary language, is not only a manifestation of society's emotions, reactions to events, but also a moment of modern manifestation of creativity – sometimes brutal, unconventional. In the future, the study can be expanded in connection with the manifestations of new clips, or specific reactions to them. In addition, it was appropriate to follow how the visual accompaniment of artists' performances in open and closed locations will be implemented during the performance of these and other songs in a live broadcast or recording.

Screen art under martial law
(on the example of the telethon "United news")
DOI:
The article examines the phenomenon of the United News telethon as a response of the Ukrainian media space to the challenges of russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. We analyze the main aspects and innovations of the project, including its role in shaping the national information space, as well as its importance for strengthening Ukraine's information security. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the content (identification of lexical and stylistic markers), the use of visual and audio means, the role of presenters, and the impact of the telethon on the genre diversity of the information space of Ukrainian TV channels during the period of full-scale invasion. The study emphasizes how adaptation to wartime conditions contributed to innovations in on-screen creativity, while also serving as an important element of national unity and psychological resilience of the population. "United News" proved to be a social phenomenon that demonstrated the media's solidarity and responsibility to society at a critical time, playing a key role in shaping public opinion.

Digital escapism: how war influences online streaming habits among Ukrainian youth
DOI:
This study investigated the relationship between wartime conditions and online streaming habits among Ukrainian youth, focusing on their engagement with the Netflix platform. Survey of 400 students from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (n=100), Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (n=100), V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (n=100) and Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University (n=100) revealed that streaming platforms played a significant role in shaping respondents’ values, attitudes, and political perspectives. Most students reported increased media consumption during wartime compared with peacetime, highlighting the importance of digital escapism as a coping mechanism. Furthermore, participants expressed a strong preference for content relevant to the Ukrainian context during wartime, emphasizing the need for cultural representation in media consumption. This study sheds light on the complex interplay between digital escapism, media influence, and community engagement in challenging circumstances.

Video book trailer as an educational dominant for
media professionals
DOI:
The article is concerned with the significance of video trailers in the training of future media professionals. It offers an opportunity to integrate various educational programs through original video content, making it a cross-media product of professional interest to publishers, advertisers, producers, journalists, cinematographers, screenwriters, directors, and TV presenters. This is particularly relevant for understanding current trends in screen culture. The article provides methods for analyzing and creating successful video book trailers, using techniques such as metrics tracking, content analysis, and interviews. These methods can be applied in the educational process and used by students to improve their skills in creating video trailers.
The article presents a classification system for video trailers that integrates earlier research and establishes criteria for sound, visuals, content, and form. This classification system also identifies different types of video trailers, resulting in a typology based on broadcast journalism, cinema, and audiovisual arts. The study examines the monetization of video book trailers as a crucial aspect of media professionals' training, emphasizing the ability to convert visual storytelling into financial gain. The process of creating visual images, scenes, and characters that represent a book's content becomes an economic indicator, reflecting profitability, competition, and the transformation of creativity into money.
It is noted that video trailers are also a promotion of the students themselves as authors, as they are an effective means for future media professionals to find their own TV or radio station, YouTube project or online radio studio, as they demonstrate the students' ability to think audiovisually, to use the latest audio and video technologies to produce a product, and to reach the target audience by posting video trailers on social networks and video sharing platforms.
